The quality of the engraving looks quite a bit better than on the few SALIR pieces I own, which tend to be a little broad of stroke.

Max showed me this piece at Cambridge , as we were having a bite to eat  it was a quick look but my gut feeling was not very old  , nice but nothing pointed towards Italian , i have seen several pieces of S.A.L.I.R nothing in this shape , as often i could be wrong . I could see no sign of age unlike when i look in the mirror . :'( :24: More like Rosenthal .

But if it was an engraving of Harlequin on the front, wouldn't that point towards Italian?  I mean, I'm not obsessed with it having to be Italian or anything, but one aspect to consider isn't it?

I know what you are saying Max but Rosenthal uses international designs and designers , it was just a thought mostly because of the shape and not really knowing B ALL about it ;D
