Help please - info re 2 decanters, one Dartington, one Bohemian
« on: October 09, 2010, 04:53:51 PM »
Hi Everybody.
I am new to collecting glass decanters. I have recently bought  these 2 beautiful decanters.  Bought for what I thought was a very reasonable price.
1st one has label Dartington 24% Lead Crystal
2nd has Bohemia Czech glass label.               Both are in excellent condition.
Anyone help with an approx worth.??????
Thanks a bundle Rita.

I love decanters personally, but they're pretty much out of fashion now and prices of commonplace designs can reflect that.     If you put 'Dartington decanter' into the Ebay search engine, you'll find a decanter the same as the one you have.  Does your Bohemian decanter have a stopper?   :)

Thanks for quick reply.  I tried the EBay search but it did
not  throw up anything similar. The Bohemia has a stopper with with gold band (22carrot supposedly) Gold rim to the decanter and a band of gold around the middle with a pattern on. Rita

I'm sure most people are aware but the best way to get an accurate value is to search eBay via completed listings you will find this in the advanced search option as a separate box to tick. You will then see what people achieved opposed to what they hope for.
