Art Deco Imperial Glass "Irice" Perfume Bottle?
« on: October 12, 2010, 12:44:47 PM »
The closest thing I can find on the net to this piece is Imperial Glass.  However, I was unable to find this exact form.  The stopper and inside where it sits are ground.  Any help regarding manufacturer and vintage would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Charles.

Irving Rice had glass made in Czechoslovokia before starting his relationship with Imperial Glass in Bellaire, Ohio, about 1939. The moulds for perfume bottles, stoppers, trays, etc. belonged to Rice, and he was a "private mould" customer. This perfume bottle is indeed from the Rice line, and it may come with several different stoppers, including the one shown. Fenton Art Glass now owns this perfume bottle mould as well as moulds for various stoppers.
