 :hi: there:
Googled in a few trys on the last name -- and did find a PAUL COUNTS.  Might it be him?

http://www.glass-art.com/ArtistPages/counts.htm

Looks like he used (does) kinda stretched Millefiori designs.  So Just a Wild guess here, but a try....  Kinda looks like in the Signature that there could be a *T* as something has been crossed like a *T*.  At first to me -- it looked more like a *B* but nothing came up with that.

So ?????   just putting this out there as a guess

:-\

ADDED to post:

I think I did hit this one dead on.  As I was now looking around for a sample of his signature -- and found one, and I would think (maybe) it is a match.

See here:  http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5921784  Click on the one Photo that shows his signature there.

I am pretty sure this is who it is ----->   :hiclp:                    PAUL (Allen) COUNTS --  Signature

Hi there - Try this now http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5921784  and if it still does not work - just highlight it with your mouse, click copy -- then paste in address bar. Hopefully it works now.  Looks like his pieces demand some $$$$$  4U

:hiclp: :hiclp: :hiclp: well done !!

Hey, I just lucked out -- Give the Congrats to Google -- as I was just entering *suspected* names for Glass -- it was Google that figured it out, and provided me a link.

If I was that great at figuring things out -- I would have figured out my Smokey heavy vase with the polished concave base -- LOL -- Still can't figure that one out.

Google has not helped me there much  ..... :thud: ...... ;D :24:

Rose, Google is just a search engine, you have to put the right words or names in to get a result,  you put the time and energy in finding the answer, YOU deserve a pat on the back!! and i for one thank you.
I now have a beautiful vase and i know it's maker   :kissy:

Show us the vase again, there may be new members and some that hav'nt been here for a long while

Honest -- it was Google !!

I tried entering only *what I thought I saw*.

Tried Paul Combs  first,
Then Paul Comtbs,
Then Paul Comts,
Then Paul Couts.......and then google asked (at the top of the page) do I mean "Show results for Paul Counts"  so I clicked on it.....and Bingo.  Well not quite a Bingo till I then tried to find some examples (signed) other pieces by him....the Bingo.

I think...

So really it was just Google.  Without I would have been lost.  Yes, It is a search engine, but one that has so much info to sift through and find all these questions we put at it.  Gotta love the internet !!!

 :kissy: :kissy:

Just do search on the menu bar, type in Smokey Vase, very heavy - CZECH? or just type in Smokey in the search bar (with my username) and it should come up.

I better not *add* the link here -- cuz it is kinda off the topic (the post) of your stunning Vase .......but I could use
help on that one, as I am lost on that one.  Google is not being Kind to me on that piece.....LOL  ;D
