possible id for blue water jug. ID = Libochovice, # 1511
« on: November 13, 2010, 06:50:39 PM »
Had this for a few years, and in view of recent comments about Inwald having the smooth mirrored base, thought this might also be that factory.   Somehow now don't think it is tho, having looked thru Marchus Newall's CD, and not seen it.   Lovely blue, about 200mm/8" tall - and with that flat polished base with pressed centre star moulding.   Anyone have any thoughts, and thanks for looking. :)

I checked (for lack of anything better to do at the moment), and Glen is right...  Libochovice, pattern number 1511.

ladies, thank you so much :)   Some year or two back I thought I would collect water jugs, but I started finding them in their droves, and in the end gave up and parted with most, and kept only the odd one or two.  This is a very attractive blue.     Thanks for taking the time to reply :sun:
As always, sincere thanks also to Pamela for the Glass Masterbooks, and if anyone wishes to look, it is page 9b under 'Bohemia' - c. 1925 - 28.
P.S.    Anik  -  sorry to hear you have nothing better to do at the moment - you should come and be my archivist. ;)

Paul, on an evening/night like this, I'd ever-so-gladly run away and be whatever you wanted me to be.  :'(
