LOL Look at that Ross! Ahhhh it's in Aus. and I think it's kinda funny... I can see the fun in it, and a degree of appeal to me.
Hmmm it's at Orange. Thats a town sort of Central town in NSW. I'd factor in $25-$30 ship to my specification to WA... so it didn't break.
Maybe $20 to my friend in Melbourne.
Funny how it works in the hand, fluid motion that is. Not too sure about balance and grip. LOL
I'd never put it over heat though.
I really don't think it's functional... cookware is of an intended treated glass to withstand rapid temp. change as well as break resistance, and from David's example the handle doesn't look like production wear... a drawn rod with bubbles inside. Thinking about this production ware, like Bradbury's, you find moulded lettering. Perhaps such details could have been melted out in a kiln fire but not a gas or electric hob by accident.
I wonder if they made red ones too. it's not a decorator item from Ikea or Freedom is it?
Cathy B:
Definitely not and never intended to be functional as a pan, I'd say. :) It's just some sort of handled bowl and the resemblence to a pan is either decorative or coincidental.
