Hi there
the flame impressed coachbolt pontil mark was only used between 1973 and 1979 when it was replaced by stickers. I dont think the age could be narrowed down any further as the colour is quite a common one

Thanks Michelle, just though it looked 'cruder' made with the bubbles and pitting and flattened shape, than some I have seen.

Ive seen a couple that are a bit rough around the edges, i always assume people have bad days  ;D. Plus there would have been people "in training" making the more simple items like the paperweights.

             Have you tried asking Ron Wheeler of Artius Glass?? he's very friendly and always willing to help! I recently acquired an Early Isle of Wight paperweight and Ron was able to give me a lot of info.
