Skrdlovice Vase?
« on: December 04, 2010, 08:44:50 AM »
I *think* this vase is Skrdlovice, certainly looks the part to me, but I would love to have confirmation, as well as any details such as designer and pattern number if possible.  I've had a search through the board but with no luck:

My guess is Jan Kotik for Skrdlovice.  :usd:

Hi Anik, I think you might be right with Jan Kotik, or maybe it could be Jan Beranek, both seem to do similar work...

I am almost sure that this piece is Skrdlovice, please wait for bOBA, he will tell you pattern and the author just straight.
He has 50ties Skrdlovice in his memory, I need to study books

Just giving this a gentle nudge to the top, as I noticed bOBA was around recently, and also to add some content, here's a bowl which I am assuming is also Skrdlovice, in the same colours as the vase:

The vase looks like Skrdlovice Pattern No 5630 attributed to Jindrich Beranek.

I believe you are right, John. Back in 2010, we didn't have access to the Skrdlovice pattern books.  :)   A lovely green version also appears on page 28 of "Beranek & Skrdlovice: Legends of Czech Glass".

It's a great vase.

Back in 2010, we didn't have access to the Skrdlovice pattern books.

I thought that might be the case. I started collecting about 2 years ago so that I've been spoiled by all the wonderful resources - including this site - which are now available. I agree that it's a very attractive vase. I was lucky enough to find one which had been misattributed.
