Topic: Czech or Murano?

Bought this thought it was Czech and now not so sure. 8 3/4 inches in height, width is 4.25 inches across and it weighs 755grams. I thought it was Chribska, help please, thanks. Sue

I can see why you might be confused. But again I'd need some additional photographs, particularly of the base, before I would be prepared to give an opinion. Right now I'd guess Murano, but it's just a guess.

Yes photos would be best.  I do not know either.....If I *had* to guess I would think Czech (maybe because of the Color) but that is just a guess, as I am clueless  :ho:

The colour makes me think Czech too, looks a little bit like these Chribska vases [link]

It is Czech piece, possibly from Egermann-Exbor s.r.o - one from followers of divided Crystalex, production from late 90ties or begining this century.

Of course I'll go with Jindrich's opinion, but doesn't the base look a little older than mid 1990's?

Here's a listing from eBay that shows why a close up of the base is often needed to determine the maker, and why Murano and Italian can sometimes be confused.

In light it looks scratched to bits, but doesn't look so bad to the naked eye. Jindrah has an eye so will go with him, I thought the base wear looked older I would never question a master on this. I just go along, Thank you for alll your replies. Sue.

I was only guessing here.  As I did not know. 

Yes, it looked Murano to me -- but then I thought I had seen more things in *pink* glass in Czech, or that type of Pink color.....so it was just a lucky guess for me.
