Reich angel bowl in opalescent glass
« on: December 15, 2010, 10:01:21 AM »
Hi everyone again
I have just purchased the lovely Reich angel bowl in opalescent glass.
I have owned this bowl in the past in blue and green and am currently waiting the arrival of an amber one but never realised it was made in opalescent glass.
I knew Reich did opalescent items but never knew this bowl came in this glass.
Has anyone ever or owned the same bowl in this colour please?
Unfortunately I don't have any pics at the moment as it hasn't arrived yet.
Thanks in advance Nige

I've seen these in opalescent before, but never owned one. There was one for sale on the antiques-international.ch site a while ago, but I think it's been sold now.

Speaking of Reich opalescent, there's a lovely opalescent Reich 8933 vase on Ebay at the moment - only problem is some moron has added a fake Etling mark:

Hi Steven
Thanks for the input.
I did wonder if Reich did a lot of their glassware in all the regular colours lie green, blue, amber and pink as well as plain but thought perhaps they just did certain items in their opalescent glass.
I have the Reich elves/boys bowl in frosted plain glass and have owned it in frosted green and plain flint glass it would be nice to see ifthey made that bowl in opalescent aswell.
I do like their opalescent as it has a thick hue.
I couldn't believe my luck whenthe angel bowl was for sale as a buy it now so I grabbed it! lol
