But the pizzicata polka is much more fun - I like leaping around in the air in circles fast - and I don't get in a tangle with Michael's weird feet  - which I do in a waltz. They stick out sideways - there's nowhere for my feet to be if we try to dance close together.

And  :chky: is doing the polka already!

I don't get to go to my Strauss Gala Evening until the 6th, looking forward to that. :thup:

I hope your New Year starts off as well as the old year seems to have ended. Pizzicato is one of my favourite designs. It's one of the design that went over with some of the Mstisov workers when production moved to Moser. Both my Pizzicato vase and bowl have Moser labels on them, although they were disowned by Moser when I contacted them. Strangely enough, the ashtray I have is marked with the logo of the Bohemian Hop Cooperative. I've never been able to see a difference between production at Mstisov and at Moser, probably becasue the sem people were making them

"Pizzicato" is a really lovely design. I have walked past this vase for some weeks, but hesitated to buy it because I found it quite expensive (at least for me).
Now that it is mine I cannot understand why I didn't get it immediately

So you mean it is impossible to tell whether this design was made at Mstisov or at Moser?
Interestingly I own a  Zemek "Rhapsody" vase with two labels, one  "Rhapsody Made in Czechoslovakia", and one "Borocrystal".
I guess this one should be from the Mstisov factory then?

The point I think I was making was that some of the designs altered a little when  they went over to Moser. Rhapsody is a good example. Personally, I prefer the earlier, pure Mstisov version. The colours, bubbles and flow on Pizzicato all stayed pretty much the same after the move: subtle and beautiful. I couldn't tell which yours is unless it has a Mstisov or Moser label.

Hi David,
I am with you here - I like the earlier Rhapsody pieces much better than the ones with the very colourful applied stripes.
My only Rhapsody item is this vase http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/y2PspEhbZhCN6if4VNwVSH2Z3dZqbwk-cyMWNFP8UTA featured in the 1957/3 CGR, only in a higher necked version. I like the soft colours on this one
And as it has this round Borocrystal label, which Mark Hill depicts in his book claiming this was a 50ies Novy Bor group label, I assume that it is more likely from the Mstisov production.
