Very early venetian paperweights.
« on: January 20, 2011, 01:04:28 PM »
Would any of the board members have any idea of how rare, or how many examples are known to exist of the very early Millefiori ball paperweights that were produced at the end of the 15th century in Venice? I know of one small example that was found in a lagoon in venice, that now resides in the Paulo Garloto collection, but can find no more information. Have any ever come up for sale? Many thanks in advance for any replies.
