jeanniegal:
found this in my local charity shop it's 7in tall.... :huh:i think its pressed glass :-\ seems old though.thanks
Cathy B:
My immediate thought was that it was a Anchor Hocking (Fire King) "Manhattan" ball pitcher. However I'm confused about the handle - sometimes it seems to be ribbed and other times plain, as you can see in the following examples.

So either two patterns were made, or there were look alikes. Perhaps you could try to contact the owners of this site, who will be able to tell you more about the pattern.

It's a fairly old site so the emails may not work, but hopefully they will.

;)thanks for your reply ive had a look at the other handles and they look the same to me.... but i'm not a trained eye my one's handle is smooth flatish and has a seam... to tell the truth it's perfectly made imperfectly...... ive been pinging it sounds ok but ive got nothing to compare with, the ridges are well defined but not so sharp that you would cut yourself on them, so looking at these sites photos and info im not too sure  and i cannot contact them as they want money to ask a question and everythings in $$$$$$ its a good strong chunky piece of depression glass.need to get the proper measurements..... thanks again cathy very helpful

Ask here http://chataboutdg.com/ They are nice people and it's a forum just like this one. I can't see this ball pitcher/jug in their gallery, but someone may know.
