Is this worth adding to the collection?
William Heacock,
Collecting Glass Research, Reprints & Reviews Volumes 1 & 2.
Are there other volumes?

Anyone have a copy of D. Tyzack, Glass, Tools and Tyzacks? Like-wise, is it a worthwhile purchase?

TIA,

Marcus

Mr Heacock passed away at a young age, leaving several series unfinished.

Tools ones sound good, grab them while you can

Marcus, I have all Heacock's journals. The "Glass Collector" 1-6 and "Collecting Glass" 1 and 2, as well as his very early Pattern Glass Previews. They are interesting - invaluable even - on so many levels.

Heacock would often rush in "where angels fear to tread" yet he had a singularly charming characteristic of making frequent corrections along the way as he acknowledged his mistakes.

The journals are an archive well worth having....in my humble opinion.

Marcus:

I would second Glen's opinion on the Heacock books.  The only thing that I would add is that there is a Collecting Glass Volume 3 as well.

I do actually have Volume 3 "Collecting Glass".

I simply appear to have lost the ability to count.
