Unusual Czech Vase With Optical 'Bridge' - Help ID Please...
« on: February 13, 2011, 01:22:36 PM »
Hi guys,

Can anyone help my ID the designer and glassworks responsible for this unusual vase with a blue through amber 'bridge' at the inner base please?
It weighs 1460 grams, stands 6.25'' tall, rim measures approx. 5 x 3.5'' and sits on a small oval polished base.

Thanks in advance, Charlene ;)

Might be Mstisov or Chribska, I'm sure I've seen something similar on this board before.

Cheers Wayne,

I was thinking Mstisov because it looks very much like the rhapsody/romana range in style and colour but I've not seen one quite like this so far - thanks for your help, I hope someone can ID the designer for me at some point.

Regards, Charlene

Ah yes that's the one!  No not exactly the same, but maybe from the same range?

Excellent - thanks very much both for your help with this one! My vase is surely from this range and though not vintage, I think its a beautiful Zemek-Influenced piece nonetheless.

Thanks again, best wishes Charlene
