A green tinted clear Jug with a black opaque handle & ba
« on: January 10, 2006, 01:19:13 AM »
...base

I was allowed to type "base" in the subject text box but it didn't work out the way I expected.

I don't know who, where and when but I recognise it from someware. The glass has a light green tint.

8.5 inches high

Ribbed

Weighs approx 920g

Any ideas?

I typed all this and more yesterday but was side tracked by an incoming message from ebay. When I came back to finish the topic it was all gone.  :(

Someone (I can't recall who) on the board posted a yellow/clear set with a similar jug. It was also mentioned in reply to a query of mine about a green/clear ribbed jug that I was trying to ID. If you can't find them I'll have a look later - now I need to go and get some sleep before I fall asleep over my keyboard!

These jugs Anne?

The difference in my jug is that I can feel the optical ribbing on both sides and there is no pontil mark on mine. The handle on my jug is exactly the same shape as the bright green jug.

The colour of the bright green jug reminds me of a bird in this thread.

Is it possible that these jugs are Italian?

Just a bump - does anyone recognise the jug?

Someone (anon) in the glass gallery says that they have seen this attributed to both Kralik and Harrachov.
