Need help with identification
« on: March 01, 2011, 06:51:29 PM »
Hi everyone, this is my first time posting and hope I can get some help on a piece I got at an estate sale. I have never seen anything like it. The inside is clear glass and I do see a couple of small bubbles. the bottom looks like a pearl color, it also looks like a half shell to me. It is 9" long and 7" wide. I would love to find out more about it. I have other pieces of glass but most people pick it up to look at. Thanks

Is that an aluminium coloured coating? I have a piece with a similar aspect which turned out to be Czech - and as always, just when you need it cannot find photo or attribution...

I don't know what the bottom is coated with, asked my husband who is a retired machinist ans he said he doesn't think it's aluminum.
