It was a bit of a gamble, and I don't think it's the Murano the seller seemed to indicate it could be. The shape reminds me of German 60s 70s glass, especially the work of Jachmann for WMF, but I'm not saying this is one of those (the WMF Jachmann pieces I've seen so far all seemed to have 2 colours, mostly amber &green or blue & purple and have different rims).
It has some wear, though not much at the base, more lots of little scratches on the body - I'm not convinced it's necessarily 60s-70s though it has the style. It could be a bit of retro design and have a more modern origin (but it has enough quality for the price I paid, so I'll be fine either way

It's quite big, 33 cm high, polished pontil, 6 cm diameter at the top and the bottom, 8 cm diameter at the widest point. It's purple, and though the colour fluctuates slightly in different light, I don't think it's Neodymium.
Any ideas?
