Looks uranium,dish with handle maker etc if poss

Hi i am not sure of the use as the bowl is quite shallow and the handle makes me think it may be for carrying a candle but it glows but i have no tester yet,is it British ?i have looked at all usual places so i would appreciate any help.Bowl 5" wide and the depth is 1 1/2" it has 4 feet ...Lynn

This is almost certainly uranium glass (but can't be confirmed without a UV light). I think you have a custard dish. I've found this design in dessert bowls (without feet) and sugar bowls (and possibly other items). My chief suspect would be a Czech company but I've never gone out of my way to look for a manufacturer.

Hi Lynn,

This looks to be American (depression ware) vaseline glass. If you are patient, try to find the pattern on ebay. You will see thousands of depression era vaseline bowls there. I would use it for dipping sauce or salsa. :)

No, I'm certain it's not American, and I'm absolutely certain I've seen it somewhere in the catalogue of one of the Sklo Union factories, just can't remember which.
