   Hi!
Sorry for the Confusing Sounding Title, but I'm lost with this one and Need Help!!!

The Vase is 9" high and has been cut from the Pontil then finished like a Button, Age related Wear to Base, no Identifying Marks etc.  The Main Colour is a  Red and very Mdina-ish looking Brown/Green/Yellowish Swirls, there are also present in the glass Stretched AND rounded Bubbles. It appears to be very well made.

Any help you are able to give would be most gratefully received,

                Warmest Wishes,

                     John

I can't really make out the colours, but the way they're put there is very like early-ish Alum bay. Is the glass fairly thin?

  Hi Sue  :hi:

The Glass isn't what you'd call thin, especially not for a piece of this size. I have looked at some of the Alum Bay stuff, but nothing like this one, if as you suspect this is an early piece then it may be difficult to pin down.

                       Warmest Wishes,

                          John

the base looks very Alum Bay to me.  You could email them and ask them.  They are very helpful :)

I have a JIP which is very thinly blown, but you've just reminded me I have a vase which isn't. They're stowed away somewhere, no pics, notaclu where to start looking for them.... :-[

I have had a reply from Colin at Alum Bay Glass who believes this may be a Bud Vase in the Wine Red (k2) colourway dating from about 1997, I have sent him further pictures and await confirmation. I will post his reply here as soon as I get it. Many Thanks to everyone for helping out with this one.
