Art Deco Knife Rests. Maker???? Help please.
« on: March 14, 2011, 02:51:47 PM »
They are Art Deco  and lovely stylised frosted birds......I would love any help to find out who made them please.
Bought from France, and I think they may well be French......over to the EXPERTS!!
Rosie.

I can't help, Rosie.
There was a chap who lived beside my Dad who collected knife rests, I was treated to a viewing of his collection and I found some interesting Australian ones for him, but he didn't have a clue who made any of them - no markings and no known (to George anyway) ways of finding out.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Rosie, these folks say they have info on knife rests and may be able to help:

It's worth an email to ask what they think...
