Is that base matte, or is it wear?

Hmmmmm, I'm afraid it looks very much like contemporary Polish or  :or: form one of those TKMaxx type shops... to my eye anyway.

Definitely Chinese, Craig. It is one of the most common pieces out of there. I see them a lot, often being sold as Murano. I have them in one of my links. I'll see if I can find it. I have so many links now that it can take a while to find the right one.

Sure looks the same..... and notice the last 5 letters of the name in the upper left corner spell "china".  I think that pretty much says it all......

Thanks to all for your help......

Definitely Chinese. The old links I had to Chinese merchandise don't show the zebra anymore. They may be out of production. I was able to find this one on eBay that still had the label. http://cgi.ebay.com/art-glass-crystal-zebra-/150571376320?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230ec0dec0 This one was marketed through Crystal Clear.

That is a perfect match Anita....so Chinese it is....so much for Harlequin being Italian....sorry, Craig, if I got your hopes up!! :thud:
All that said,  he is quite a nice stripey Zebra, and I have some lovely Chinese glass birds that I adore.....hope your friend is happy with all this info.
