Sparkley silver and turquoise duck....is it Murano?
« on: March 26, 2011, 01:48:57 PM »
A lovely Silver and turquiose duck about 3.75" long and 3.5 inches high.
The silver is like floating flakes rather than silver foil wrap.  They are distributed throughout the whole of the body and look quite sparkly.
This is a sweet little duck and was one of my first eBay purchases when I decided to major in on Ducks,  but I have never been too sure of the maker.
Can anyone tell me who is likely to have made it, and is it Murano please?
Thank you :sun:
Rosie.

I saw a similar decoration in a V Nason dog, but it was white instead of blue and had no silver. The duck doesn't strike me as looking particularly like a V Nason piece, but it does look like Murano glass to me.

Thank you Anita and Hi  :hi:....it is a very difficult piece to photograph....in reality, it is a very beautiful little duck. It would be nice to know the maker.

I have a similar duck with silver bits in it. It is hollow and fully labelled. I have attached some pics in case they help.

Hi pl79,  :hi: Thanks and yes, that is exactly the same technique for my duck....I wonder if it is the same maker?  :X:
