Hi, can anyone help identifying the glasses in the following pics?

Many thanks in advance,

hello Rich  -  welcome to the GMB. :)            I take it that you have looked for a mark on the underside of the foot - they're not always easy to see - and another question re the foot  -  what sort of wear, if any do they have?      Also, does the red colouring look as tho. it might have some thickness  -  or does it appear as simply a stain on the glass?

Welcome to the board.
Pictures against a plain dark or light background (as appropriate) are best.

Hi, great to find such a useful forum to find out more about my glassware. I've attached a few more pictures of the glasses in question, neither set bear any makers marks that I can see. The red ones seem to have some depth to the colour. Dimensions are 135mm tall, 63mm diameter at the top and 67mm across the foot.

Regards

Rich

well, I was tempted to suggest (for the red glasses only) a similarity to Walsh 'Harlequin' tableware.    My doubts being - a very slight difference in the cross cutting design, and possibly your red is a tad too 'cherry'  whereas the Walsh might be a bit more crimson, but I'm looking at images on screen and in a book, so there may be some distortion of colour anyway.    Please don't post sideways pictures, it kills the neck in us slightly older viewers.   The period for the 'Harlequin' design was, I believe, somewhere between 1930 and 1945, so if yours were from that period I would expect some wear on the base  -  if you can't see any wear on the foot, then I would imagine these to be much more recent.    We need someone who is really knowledgable about Walsh glass (English, by the way) :)

Straight side-on views would be helpful too, as we can't see either the bowl shape or the stem shape

I've separated these two sets of wineglasses into separate topics and rotated the images so we can see what's what.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
