possible Ravenhead vase?
« on: April 10, 2011, 05:27:04 PM »
The woman at the boot sale said it was Ravenhead, but I have looked around some, although not able to see anything like it (cud be looking in the wrong places, of course).
Mould blown, with four seam marks, and shading from greenish at the base to amberish at the top - and about 8"/200mm tall.    I may have goofed with this one possibly, and don't believe I've seen one previously           Thanks for looking and grateful for enlightenment if anyone does recognize the design.  :)

Hi Paul
Now i know there is quite a bit about these as they are often being listed as whitefriars (obviously not whitefriars). I think they are also linked to Davidson Lunar range (rightly or wrongly im not sure)

thanks Michelle  -  I'm none the wiser at the moment, and hadn't been aware that they were occasionally being palmed off as W/Fs.    Apart from yourself, there has been no other interest, so I had assumed that this piece was nothing exceptional.     Neither was I aware of the possibility of the Brama 'Luna' connection - perhaps someone else will comment.      Meantime thanks for your thoughts. :)

bearing in mind the comments that this might on occasions be masquerading as W/Fs., I have now looked on Emmi's 'wannabee' listings, but doesn't appear to be there.
