Cased Waisted Vase Black Glass Copper Flecks, Murano?
« on: April 21, 2011, 04:30:13 PM »
Hi. Does anyone recognize the style of this cased glass vase? It is black with copper flakes cased in white. There is age wear to the edge of the base so I don't think it is brand new which is what I originally thought (hard to tell this in the photos though). I am thinking Italian but I guess it could possibly be Scandinavian? I saw something with this combination identified as Weil Murano? Thanks for taking a look!

I believe the rim is polished -I hope these are better photos. What would that denote if it is polished?

To me it looks like the cut rim at the top is ground flat but not polished shiny, I just couldn't see it clearly in the photo.  I think I agree with Ivo that it is most likely Chinese.
