Can someone decipher the signature of this nice little jug

The signature seems to be "Atelier Molina" but I can't get a line on that in Google so I am hoping someone recognises itor its signature.

A Google search for Atelier Molnar shows up many pieces attributed to Pavel Molnar and the signature is a good match.

Thanks for that Pamela.

You may find it actually reads Mdina.
I don't recognise the glass if it is, but I'm not up on new stuff at all - and the mark that looks as if it reads Molina is a recent one.

I think this is Atelier Molnar....not Mdina.

Having said that, I can see where Sue is coming from, as there are a lot of people who read Mdina as Molina.

However,  I am sure I have seen this signature before on a little vase....I will go off and have a look and see what I come up with... :wsh:

Not unless it is Atelier Mdina and they have relocated to France (atelier, french for studio).

John

Seems to be atelier in German too....

It was in 'Style and Design'......here is a link:

http://www.stylendesign.co.uk/modern/G239.html

The signature looks very similar to me.

Having said that, there is a very strange resemblance to the Mdina spattered effect pieces on this lovely jug, and also a similarity to the Mdina/ Harris 'stripey' effects on this vase.....what do you all think??

I have to say Ross,  I really like that jug....it has a lustre to it that I feel makes it a bit special.

Spot on Rosieposie that is the actual one I found on Google and I think the signatures are close enough for jazz - as the say.  I am certain in my mind it is a Pavel Molnar vase.  My suspicion is that it could be quite "old" c. 1980.  Yes it does have a lovely lustre and I see what you mean about similarities between Harris designs and his.  But lets not forget all glass artists tended to copy each other at that point in time because the whole Glass artist movenment was relatively new and people tended to experiment.  The simplest way was to attempy a sort of "Copy" although I cant remember seeing a Michael Harris jug anywhere before.
