Glass bowl is it Schott Zweisel
« on: May 20, 2011, 11:24:57 AM »
7.2" high cased blue vase - clear gass base (ref photos) - I have looked at pictures of Schott zweisel and this seems to fit colour wise and shape wise - can anyone confirm or give alternative ID

Thanks Adam

Hi Adam,
I think we need a base shot... It might be Czech as well. Does it have a ground and polished
base or a ground out pontil mark? First would rather lead towards Czech...  :)

I am rather sure this is by Harrachov glassworks.
Anik has a vase same colour (and from the same range I guess): http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?topic=34302.0

In CGR 1958/3-4 is a very similar vase as yours (link to Jindrich's great site): http://picasaweb.google.com/Jindra8526/Glasrevue195834?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ7HucyplfzFqwE#5438611121886189634

Has a ground and polished base (see photo) so I guess as advised its Czech

Seen photos on Jindrichs website and its very similar to mine - Harrachov glassworks suggested - is that now a good ID? any info on designer then

Thanks Adam

IMO a very good ID :)

The other thread (Anik's vase) has some information from Jindrich about designer (possibly Milan Metalak, but not confirmed).
