Forgive the poor quality of the photographs, but I couldn't wait to post my latest (and greatest!) addition to my Czech glass collection: A Miroslav Kubinec 'Akty' vase for Hermanova, 1981, pattern number 20339.
It's a gorgeous piece made from a three-part mould. One side has got stylized flowers, while the other two bear the image of a nude female. One is in the standing position, holding her hands below her breasts. The other is in the kneeling position (side view) with one arm in the air.
The vase weighs 2579g and is 28,5cm high. It reflects light beautifully!
I'm terribly excited about this piece. Kubinec was (possibly still is) a genius.
