Trinket Chicken - egg holder?
« on: June 11, 2011, 09:00:37 PM »
I found this covered in a inch of dirt and spent a couple of pound thinking it was old - It shined-up lovely! - did I waste my money I suspect it's brand new now. The whole thing appears straight out of a mould and quite crudely finished. Hope I'm wrong.

Some reading here: http://westmorelandglassclub.org/modules/myalbum0/photo.php?lid=24

You will need a *whole Flock* of Birds as they came in many colors, and I think several companies made them (I think)

Here is a Forum that I think has lots of info (and Pics  ) for you to read/look at:

I have one too --- but mine is Ceramic....as they were done in glass and ceramic.

So get busy there, and start stocking up the whole barn yard with lots of colors of birds !!

What size be yours Adam, and can you show an image of the outside of the base as well please? If no-one has the book to check in, I have some of the PDF's from Shirley site (pre-book publication which were taken down when the book came out) but I need more info to find which yours might be.

Thanks Anne.

Knowing and using the right terms I think I have now found the answer however. This one on eBay is exact as long as they have it right of course!

Assuming yours is the same size: 3.5 in. At this size it's a salt.
