I think Mark is referring to the bigger vasey ones - these little
jug ones are definitely Boffo - look at it's bottom - does it have a big, round polished pontil mark??? Yes?

That puts it to the period there was still a Boffo there.
Besides, it's a jug! The Boffos were allowed to used the facilites at Mdina in their spare time to make these jugs (and animals) - which they sold in Valetta for themselves - not through the Mdina shop.
Compare the spout and the handle to Boffo made jugs at wfs. Similar??? Hmmmmm?
There are little vasey ones too - but, having seen them decked in pink splodges, they may be late as well as early.
I have a little amethyst one, no polished pontil mark though, but its still early, being amethyst.
These jugs are lovely little things, aren't they? I don't understand why their significance hasn't penetrated the market - especially with them being by a specific, important maker on top of their yumminess. :spls:
