Topic: Art Deco decanter and glasses

A find that i have search the books and net extensively....but nothing similar found. The base has a polished finish. There are six matching glasses
Please help with any information that i may search under.

The faceted body (lower part, whats it called in english? ) of the decanter really looks bohemian (Moser?) to me. As well as the stopper, by the way. But then the 3 dancing figures leave me in doubt.

I'll have a better look tonight. Maybe I can find something in my books on bohemian glass.

Thank you so much bablo...it was suggested to me when i purchased it that it might well be moser....but then i took it with a pinch of salt...but loved it all the same.

A quick search through my own books revealed nothing. There are a lot of Czech decanters from this period that are quite similar to yours in shape: flat formed with angular lines. But most of them don't have the molded figures, which makes your decanter quite exceptional, I must say.

An example of a Moser decanter, which is totally different from yours, but which has some molded images of birds/pigeons:

Another company that made decanters like these was Riedel. Notice the shape of the stopper and the glasses:

If I would have to bet, then I'd go for either one of these 2 (Moser or Riedel). But maybe there's some real expert on Bohemian glass that can help you further.

Good luck with your search. And for the moment... hold on to this decanter, because it looks like a very fine piece. Well, at least I like it

C. Schlevogt or H. Hoffmann would be my bet, though I don't immediately recognise it as a Hoffmann shape. As with many of these Czech pieces date could be anytime from 1930s-present, though the colour & finish of yours look good and might suggest an earlier date .

Another thing I'd say is that the stopper doesn't look like a great match stylistically & I wonder if it's a replacement? How good is the fit & colour match?

Hi all..
thank you so much for looking and all the suggestions. I bought this from a man that had to flee pre war ...so that puts it somewhere there i guess. Tzhe stopper matches perfectly a tight fit and matching color.
There were three other dealers after this set and i paid a good price as i really think its great...oh well...so i will place it in the back cupboard once again till i find some info.
