Green Latticino Vase...ID Help...
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:29:28 AM »
Hi, i would like some help on this vase. It is my first piece of latticino glass and I am glad I bought it. I have been doing some searching but to no avail on finding something similar. It is about 26.5cm high in a gorgeous green colour with white latticino. Polished base with scalloped rim in a fluted design. A stunning piece. Any help on an ID or a push in the ride direction would be helpful.  ;D

Bump...have seen some similar shapes but nothing to pinpoint me in the right direction. Mods, could this be moved to Murano if possible?

Kane, everyone is probably as stumped as I. I love this vase. There is something about it that pulls me toward Aureliano Toso, but it is just one possibility. The color and looseness of the filigrana weave is what makes me think of them. I can tell by the uniformity of the work that it was made by a skilled person. It is lovely and a very good purchase.

Thanks TX, i had thought Toso but I am sure it will be a long time before I can get an ID on this one. The quality is excellent for this piece and lets hope I can get an ID one day... ;D

Kane, this vase is not the same as yours, but it reminded me of yours. I thought you might like to look. A. Seguso is one of the companies I thought about for yours, but had never seen this color used by them. Maybe...

Mmm, that is stunning that piece, it would certainly look good next to mine and roughly the same height as well!

Amazing similarities in the 2 pieces as well. Thanks for that, very drool worthy that piece.  ;D
