Topic: Art Deco Black Silver vase , poss Bohemian??

A large Black vase, with unusual Deco Silver overlay patterns .
Nicely made, bevilled edges, Im thinking Bohemian, maybe French or .....

Any suggestions?

Ivo will know this probably and I have not a clue , but on another site I came across some vases by Hem.  They are black with silver decoration.  I've never heard of them and I wondered if all their pieces would be signed or whether your vase may have any similarities with them - or perhaps your base finish etc and the fact it is unsigned rules them out completely?

I just know because i have seen a collection of  bulb vases in the same decor and those were def Bohemian - no hint to actual maker though.

Interesting link, however there are more than a few far more naturalistic based nouveau pieces on that site that pre-date either the european or U.S. Deco periods.

yes I didn't mean it was an Art Deco site, more that there was an interesting selection of glass on that site and they do have some Art Deco pieces as well. 
The vases id'd as Hem and signed, I found on a specialist Art Deco site.  They also do have Bohemian Art Deco pieces on there as well, however having now been through the whole site there is not anything there to give any leads unfortunately - sorry.
However, as Ivo has now said, he has actually seen a set of Bohemian vases with the same decor.

Never heard of Hem, did a google search and hemglass are a large icecream maker in Norway

I think Hem could be a very likely attribution for my vase , shame mines not signed. I dont think that rules it out at all,
im sure its just the signed ones come up in a search .

I have not run into them before, not as a glass maker at least - so they may have been a refinery?
