Pink satin glass round lamp - deco or 60s/70s?
« on: July 23, 2011, 04:12:25 PM »
A lovely soft pink glass lamp, satin glass interior but no makers marks at all. It is made up of two halves. The whole lamp measures 19.5cm tall.
Any help with age or maker appreciated.

Looking around the net, the nearest in color and type of glass I can find is made by Davidson. There is a "Davidson Art Deco Pink Glass Good Companion Table Lamp" on Ebay that looks extremely similar in colour and glass/consistancy/thicknes/finish.

Don't think its Davidson (plenty of companies made pink glass), but it's probably older than 60/70s, though the fittings are obviously new.

I've just spotted a similar lamp in the Reich 1935-1939 catalogue which you can download from here:
http://www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de/archiv/pdf/pk-2009-4w-02-mb-reich-cms-1936-beleuchtung.pdf
it's a PDF file and the lamp is on page 25 - the catalogue illustration isn't very big so I can't tell if it's exactly the same as yours, but it might give you a direction in which to look...  :X:
