Antique Spectacles/glasses
« on: July 24, 2011, 10:22:16 PM »
Hi, am i right to post here with questions about an antique pair of wire spectacles? If not then does anyone know of a good forum/discussion site for antique eyeglasses/ optical instruments??

If i can post here, is there any way of increasing the pictures size limit for attachments? 125kb seems quite small..

Hi and welcome to the board. Specs aren't really the sort of things we cover (although we might have members who share your interest, I don't know). I had a mooch around and found a couple of places which might be able to help:
http://www.optiboard.com/forums/ < --- board for opticians - I bet some of them have an interest in/knowledge of old specs, or could point you in the right direction
http://www.antiquespectacles.com/ <--- The On-Line Museum and Encyclopedia of Vision Aids - can't see a forum but the site owner has loads of info there and may be able to help if you drop them a line.
Good luck! :)
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
