This is only a very big "maybe", but the shape reminds me of a vase I've sold in the past in a few different colours, one of which had a "Made in Italy" label, see top of this page: [Link]

Unfortunately I didn't make a note of the size, 11 inches sounds about right though.

So maybe Italian (Empoli region?).

Wayne, I was thinking the same thing. The rim looks like some of the Empoli things. Maybe Ivo will see the Empoli and let us know for sure.
