GERMAN Jack in the Pulpit Vase Needs ID
« on: August 06, 2011, 02:51:08 PM »
Hello
Im new here and not very well versed in Glass.  I have a Modern art Glass piece that I believe was purchased in the early 1990s.  It is a FAT round bodied Jack in the PUlpit vase with a Germany label on  it.  It has "applied" or fused multicolored glass swirled through and opalescent body and it has an etched makers mark on the Bottom.
Shield with a P inside of it and a stylized crown above it.
I Have no clue who made it and I have spent two days online looking for German glass maker marks.  It looks like it is a Nice piece and I am hoping someone in Glassworld might be able to help put a name on it for me.
Thanks in advance for any effort!
I can take some pics today if anyone is interested just let me know!

Hi and welcome to the board. Pictures are necessary to be able to help really.  Ideally one side on view, one top rim view, one base view, and a clear closeup of the mark at the very minimum please. Make the longest side around 700px and they should fit our file size limits, but if you need help see this topic for how to resize images:
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,6522.0.html

You can add up to 4 images per post, if you have more than 4 pics, then simply reply to your own post and add the others to the reply. Shout for help if you get stuck!
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Poschinger, probably. But please go through the photograph routine first, we love to look at things.
