Engraved Fish Vase Orreofors? Scandinavian? Czech? Whitefriars?
« on: September 08, 2011, 03:25:07 PM »
Hi all and hope you are well!

Anyone have any ideas with this latest purchase. Found listed on eBay and I've imported it from the US. Sellar said they had been passed it down in the family and that they had been told it was Orrefors.

Has the fire polished rim as you would expect on many Orrefors pieces as well as the polished pontil base. Unfortunately it is unsigned but it is a fantastically skilled piece of engraving.

All info and opinions gratefully received
:)

I'm not saying it isn't, but it doesn't look like any Scandinavian engraving I've seen before.

I am not a man
