Is this dish Bagley?
« on: October 06, 2011, 02:12:33 AM »
Good morning from Australia again.

I have this plate/dish, frosted on the underside, it looks and feels like the frosted Bagley Roses and Scales plates that you see so often. However I haven't been able to locate this pattern anywhere and wondered if anyone could confirm if it is Bagley, or if not, know who made it? Many thanks in advance

cheers
Auliya

Davidson definitely, but I'm not sure what pattern number, 504 possibly. I can never work out from the book if some of the pattern numbers go with the shape or the design.

Looks like Davidson 504 from Chris's page here: http://www.cloudglass.com/davidsonpostwar.htm - larger version of the advert image here: http://www.cloudglass.com/images/pg1957_2.jpg

Yes, but this is a wavy-edged plate, not part of the fruit set, which is why I'm confused.

Thanks for the links, but I am thinking, looking at that set, that the pattern shown on the deep bowls appears to be different to the plate, the base pattern looks to be different as well. what do you think?

cheers

I'm confident your plate is Davidson. I'll look at mine when I get home.
