Plain art-nouveau vase or made last weekend???
« on: October 11, 2011, 06:09:09 PM »
This vase is quite a large item at 11" tall 31/4" rim base of 41/2" unusual striated finnish which is very pronounced to the touch outside and has ridging inside And slightly silverish metalic coulour added to the clear glass, Base has a finnish similar to the mother of pearl rose bowls that krallik did with the small debris inclusions trapped towards the middle of the base and in the glass here and there the base also has wear where it contacts the floor. Hard to say for me being a fairly plain this where its from but has art-nouveau feel maybe czech??Defo blown glass as the cylinder is off circular more than likely blown into something??
thanks for looking..
