Topic: Four section / four coloured bowl

Hello all

I recently bought one of these four sectioned bowls and I'm just wanting a little bit of help with it. It was described as Murano, as are a lot of the three sectioned similar bowls that often turn up on ebay etc. I'm convinced however that I read somewhere that either the four section or the three sectioned dishes aren't Murano (or maybe neither of them are). Is anybody able to clarify this for me or point me in the direction of previous discussions on this (I've tried searching but haven't yet come up with anything)?

Here's a picture of my bowl, diameter is 5 3/4 inches, height is 2 inches.

I also think the three section one was discussed here and thought not to be Murano, but perhaps Rumanian?  dredging my memory and quite possibly wrong.  I'll try and find the thread -

Thank you both for your replies and the previous discussions make very interesting reading. My bowl has a lot of wear on the base so maybe it is a relative of yours Michael?

Helen, I'm pretty confident yours is not Murano. The way it is produced is completely different for a start.
