5.5 inches across,I presume the 05 means 2005 but what about the 74A? looks like a postcode? ::)

You're lucky. At least you have a quest. All the Mdina I have only has 'Mdina' on tha base!

This reminds me of two beautiful Wedgwood ellies I put in a bid for, and sadly didn't win,  but were listed with some numbers on the base which the seller said were limited edition numbers.  I looked up the numbers and they were a London Postcode and had been put on the base for insurance purposes in case the items were stolen.   :24:
