Topic: Liskeard Glass? signed LG, but not in usual way

Hi there - this one is one of my favourites, no matter what it is! As Liskeard pieces are usually branded I am wondering about this bowl - the mark is simply into the base - could this be because a branded mark would make the foot unstable? Does anyone else have pieces marked in this way?

there are five or six photos in the set - one clearly showing the LG mark and the cross hatched texture to the underside, wheras the top is very smooth and shiny

Most unusual - it almost seems like it was made by "slumping" the base, bowl sections and rims sections into a mould.  That might explain why the mark is so abbreviated if it already existed on the black base and was partially lessened by the "slumping" process.  It will be interesting to hear from someone much more expert than I - and I too like the bowl very much.

Your bowl is like no other piece of Liskeard that I have seen (which does not mean much). Can't say I am convinced by the mark on the base but again not enough knowledge to know either way.
