unusal glass mace
« on: November 13, 2011, 05:44:32 PM »
got this unusal glass mace vase today  , it measures just over 13" and aound 5" across the ball part, the ball is brown/dark amber the same colour as the trailing on the neck, ....the spikes/punts on the ball are clear glass same as the foot and neck, , the pontil mark is a strange one, it measures 1.75" across,  could it be German? and i wonder if it could of been a frigger out of a glass fishing float factory?

I'd go with frigger. But what is strange about the pontil scar? cannot see it that well.
