Thanks I was told yesterday by an antique dealer that it is Royal Doulton after buying out Webb Corbett. Thanks everyone.

Doesn't look like the Webb Corbett crown in the Glass fact File a-z. They were taken over by Doulton in 1969 but the name wasn't dropped until 1986

The Webb Corbett 'crown' is a stylised W C plus 5 dots.

Oh dear...more confusion...it is definitely a crown with 5 dots but not a stylised W C. I can only find Webb Corbett marks on Great-Glass...no Royal Doulton.

Hi, sorry this wont help but I have two small candlesticks with the same mark on them. I am sure I put them on here somewhere. I will dig out the photos, they may help identifying maker. I was pointed towards a German company but never found anything.

That was added since this topic last aired. So Webb Corbett would seem likely, if someone can confirm you candlesticks are WC, case closed. Need to check the Great Glass source too.
