I've had this jar for a while now.  I thought it was Murano until I came across a Harrachov harrtil piece that was very similar.  Here's the link:

HI! Your research seems very sound. Harrachov made a whole range of this style of glass in crystal, with the distinctive stems, Glassobssessed posted some wine glasses that match exactly a few weeks ago and they were ID'd as Harrachov, Harrachov being the source of Harrtil too, your covered goblet looks simply to be a crystal version without the netting, a lovely thing. In crystal it seems the design originated a few years before Harrtil, circa 1950.

Here are the glasses: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,42377.0.html

Both Holmegaard's Princess and Dartington's Sharon range may have paid just a little respect....

Thank you both for the confirmation.  When I cam across the harrtil link, I was relieved to have made some progress in my search, though it was a complete accident.
