Carnival glass cobalt blue plate with grapes and leaves
« on: November 25, 2011, 03:36:27 PM »
Another area I don't know much about :)

Carnival glass plate, 18 cm diameter, cobalt blue glass with pattern of grapes and grape leafs, great iridescence.
Any idea of maker and date? (I searched and saw some similar pieces by Fenton, but not the same pattern).

Thanks!
Michael

You are right to suspect Fenton. It is indeed theirs. The pattern name is "Vintage" - date, circa 1910 ish (or thereabouts).

Glen, thanks a lot for the ID -- greatly appreciated! :hiclp:

American glass (and almost 100 years old in particular) is something I didn't expect to find here in Austria...
