Hi guys,

Has anyone seen this kind of vase before? Its a lovely tactile little vase but I have no real clue as to origin but thinking probably Murano. Does anyone know?

Cheers, Charlene

More likely Bohemian. That thready decor is called peloton and the shape is very Bohemian.

I agree it looks Bohemian and the way it is made reminds me of these pieces I've seen id'd as Harrach.
 - not saying it is Harrach but maybe just an avenue to explore

Hi both,

I'm so sorry for only just responding - thanks for your guidance on this one. A friend of mine has since suggested it could quite possibly be by Sowerby - is this out of the question?

Thanks & Happy New Year! Charlene :)

Sowerby did do some interesting blown glass, including some with white splotches, but not peloton to my knowledge.
