Topic: Scottish? closepack Vasart maybe - ID = Strathearn

Picked this up today, not something I would normally buy but taken in by the vast array of different canes and colours and puzzled it appears to have a couple of Maltese cross canes?
Apologies for the poor photo quality but the light was not good and neither am I  will try again tomorrow, meanwhile hoping someone will recognise the canes maybe.

Hi Chris i had a nice Murano with similar canes including the crosses . is the base flat polished? !!!! Sorry just seen the base shot , not like mine .

Hi Jp not like the Murano weights more like Strathearn, poor picture.

Yes Chris seeing the base made me wonder but as i said some of the canes are similar , Kev will know he identified mine for me .

It is a lovely weight Chris....so many varieties of patterns.  I don't collect paperweights at all,  quite simply, I would not be able to stop, I wold have to have them all!!
I wonder why the Maltese Cross pattern?  Lets hope Kev drops in and has a look for you.  In the meantime,  have a good Christmas and a really good New Year.

Definitely Strathearn Glass. Standard daily production closepack design. Size varied from small to large. Maltese Cross canes (of varying forms) were quite common within Strathearn weights.

There you go Chris......Strathearn it is then!  Aren't they pretty,  like Dolly Mixtures.....you can see why  would have to have them all!
